White Horse Employment is delighted to be working exclusively with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced HR Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and capable HR professional to take full ownership of the HR function on site, working closely with the HR Director and senior leadership team to shape and deliver the people strategy within a fast-paced environment.
You will be both operationally strong and strategically minded, balancing day-to-day HR delivery with longer-term workforce planning, continuous improvement, and cultural development. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead by example, develop the HR Advisor, and act as a trusted partner to managers across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the HR function, ensuring high-quality and consistent HR support across the site
- Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, organisational development and employee engagement
- Manage complex employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, capability and absence
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are legally compliant and aligned with business needs (UK & overseas where applicable)
- Manage, coach and develop the HR Advisor
- Oversee recruitment strategy and workforce planning to attract and retain key talent
- Lead HR projects and change initiatives including restructures and cultural improvement programmes
- Use HR data and insight to support decision-making and drive performance improvement
- Oversee training and development strategy and capability planning
- Ensure robust HR administration, payroll input and compliance processes are maintained
About You
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience), CIPD Level 7 desirable
- Proven experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role within a fast-paced environment (manufacturing advantageous)
- Strong leadership experience, ideally managing or mentoring HR team members
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confident handling complex and sensitive employee relations matters
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Commercial, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and trends
- Advanced MS Office skills; HR system experience desirable
