Location: Studley, Warwickshire/Home based with some UK Travel

We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to be responsible for the planning and management of projects, in line with customer requirements, company policies and procedures, whilst striving to deliver excellent customer service. This is a key role in promoting the company image and providing a professional and safety conscious working environment.

This role involves working on various projects across UK and Ireland.

Duties:

• Responsible for the planning and project management of all project activities from contract award to completion, ensuring that projects are successfully delivered in terms of managing contract adherence, permitting requirements, programmes, method statements, budgets and health and safety, and quality requirements.
• Act as the primary contact for customers during the executional phase of projects and manage/communicate with them in a timely manner.
• Manage internal project kick off meetings to communicate and co-ordinate key project information to the engineering and operational departments.
• Attend customer visits/site visits to measure and record specific information relevant to the task and to ensure this is incorporated into the RAMS.
• Conduct visits to third party operational sites (e.g. ports/harbours) to conduct facility and route surveys and ensure all necessary requirements are recorded and documented
• Co-ordinate our internal teams to ensure the timely submission of necessary permits (e.g. transportation and marine) to facilitate the delivery of a project.
• Co-ordinate our internal teams to ensure the timely production of HSE Documentation including risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
• Co-ordinate our internal teams to ensure activities are compliant with the Allely’s agreed scope and programme, with timely and suitable communication of any required changes.
• Manage project costs within the budget allocated, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin, any discrepancies or unforeseen changes need to be agreed with the Head of Project Delivery and agreed with the Client.
• Identify the opportunity for revenue and profitability growth while managing client expectations Prepare and present project financial assessments and forecasts on a bi-weekly basis to the Head of Project Delivery and Finance Teams.
• Ensure that all activities meet with the external or customers’ business standards for quality management, health and safety, environmental policies and local laws to which the business finds itself operating under.
• Maintain client relationships whilst ensuring delivery of high levels of customer service.
• Communicate and interact with all levels of staff, contractors and Management and attend and manage both internal and external meetings.

Skills Required:

• Previous experience in the commercial management of projects within the Specialist Transport, Heavy Lifting or Civil Engineering sectors
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently and prioritise tasks
• Ability to relate to staff at all levels
• Ability to contribute effectively to a team working environment
• Professional and approachable
• Flexible and reliable
• Resilient and able to work under pressure, often to tight project windows and customer deadlines.
• Full Driving licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good IT skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point
• Excellent organisation skills
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
