North Scout are recruiting a UI Developer for a large UK insurance organisation, working on a major internal digital platform used across multiple business units. This is a UI-led Front-End role focused on building robust, scalable user interfaces for complex, high-volume systems. It’s not a greenfield toy app – it’s proper enterprise engineering.
You’ll be joining a small, senior product team and will have real ownership over front-end standards, component design, and UI quality across the platform.
The Role
This is a hands-on UI Developer position, working in a close-knit delivery team, while collaborating with multiple engineering, data, and product teams across the organisation. You’ll be responsible for building reusable UI components, improving front-end architecture, and ensuring the platform remains maintainable as it scales. This suits someone who’s comfortable working in large systems with lots of moving parts.
Core Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with React (senior level)
- Solid experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Proven experience building reusable component libraries
- Experience integrating with APIs and working in structured enterprise environments
- Azure experience, ideally Azure DevOps, Repos & Feeds
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across tech and business
Nice to have
- Background working on large enterprise platforms
- Experience in regulated environments (insurance, finance, banking)
- Exposure to complex internal systems and legacy integration
