Job Description
We’re partnering on a senior leadership opportunity to head up a high-performing in-house content function, based in the UK.
This is a key role within the leadership team, responsible for shaping and delivering the strategic content vision across a portfolio of established and growing international brands. You’ll lead a team of 6 Strategic Content Managers (plus flexible freelance resource), each responsible for delivering content strategy and execution across different markets.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution. You’ll be responsible for developing and evolving long-term creative platforms (3–5 years), working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure consistent, impactful storytelling across all touchpoints. You’ll also play a critical role in integrating newly acquired brands into the wider content ecosystem, helping to build cohesion, clarity, and creative excellence at scale.
A significant part of the role will focus on leading the evolution of AI-driven content creation and optimisation, embedding smarter ways of working across the team and ensuring the function stays ahead of industry change.
What we’re looking for:
We’re open on background, but the strongest candidates are likely to come from:
- Senior agency backgrounds (particularly strategy, planning, or creative leadership roles)
- Freelance or consultancy experience with a strong portfolio of strategic and creative content work
- In-house brand or content leadership roles with experience building or scaling content models
You’ll need to be equally comfortable operating at a strategic leadership level while also being hands-on when needed — from shaping campaign direction in board-level discussions through to refining copy or creative output where required.
Experience working across multiple European markets is highly desirable, particularly exposure to different cultural and creative approaches across regions such as Northern, Western, and Central Europe. Direct language skills are not required, but cultural and market understanding is important.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in campaign development, content strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys building structure while driving creative excellence.
Key experience:
- 6+ years’ experience in senior creative, strategic, or content leadership roles
- Strong background in campaign and content development
- Experience working with agencies or integrated creative teams
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Comfortable working at both strategic and hands-on delivery level
- Strong interest in innovation, particularly AI and new content tools
- Experience working across multiple markets or international campaigns preferred
