Job Description

Interim Head of FP&A

📍 Central London | Hybrid

🕒 3–6 month contract

💷 £550 – £650 per day (Outside IR35)

A high-growth consumer and ecommerce business is recruiting an Interim Head of FP&A to support the CFO during a period of transition and continued international expansion. The business has grown rapidly, built a loyal customer base and is entering an exciting phase of development, including international growth, retail expansion and broader finance transformation.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can quickly take ownership of core FP&A activities, provide continuity across the function and support senior leadership with high-quality financial insight. The successful individual will play a key role in ensuring day-to-day FP&A delivery runs smoothly while the business continues to build out its longer-term finance leadership structure.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes

• Maintaining and enhancing complex financial models used across the business

• Production of weekly trading reports, monthly FP&A packs and senior leadership reporting

• Delivering variance analysis and commercial insight across performance, profitability and growth initiatives

• Supporting decision-making across Commercial, Marketing, Operations and Finance

• Acting as a trusted FP&A partner to the CFO and wider leadership team

• Supporting ongoing process improvements and finance projects

The client is keen to engage with candidates who combine strong FP&A capability with commercial judgement, excellent analytical skills and the ability to operate independently within a fast-paced environment. The successful profile is likely to have:

• Significant FP&A and commercial finance experience

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, including experience managing large and complex planning models

• Experience operating within consumer, retail, ecommerce or other high-growth environments

• The ability to work with imperfect data and deliver clear, actionable insight

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• A hands-on and pragmatic approach

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful consumer brand at an exciting stage of its growth journey. For the right individual, there is potential for the assignment to extend and/or evolve as the finance function develops.
