Job Description
The Opportunity Consulting Point is representing the Business Technology practice of a premier global management consultancy. We are seeking senior leaders to join the Cloud Transformation team at Managing Consultant or Senior Manager level. This team is at the forefront of guiding FTSE 100 and central government organisations through complex, multi-workstream cloud and infrastructure journeys, from initial strategy and business case development through to delivery and benefits realisation.
The Mandate: Cloud Strategy & Delivery This role is designed for senior professionals who can navigate the complexities of enterprise-scale technology change. We are interested in candidates with experience across any major cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, or GCP). The focus is not on a specific vendor, but on the ability to lead medium-to-large transformation programmes, including data centre exits, cloud migrations, and the alignment of infrastructure strategies with overarching business objectives. You will be responsible for translating complex technical shifts into measurable business outcomes while maintaining rigorous programme governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale cloud and infrastructure transformation programmes, managing the full lifecycle from strategy to delivery.
- Direct multi-disciplinary teams and third-party vendors, ensuring programme timelines and benefits are achieved.
- Establish and run robust programme governance, including RAID management, roadmap development, and executive reporting.
- Advise senior stakeholders across finance, procurement, and security on the commercial and operational impacts of cloud adoption.
- Drive the commercial growth of the practice through bid leadership, RFP responses, and the development of new market offerings.
- Contribute to internal practice development, including whitepapers, recruitment, and the mentoring of junior consulting cohorts.
Required Experience & Skills
- Consulting Pedigree (Mandatory): Current or recent experience within a management consulting firm is an absolute requirement. You must have a track record of delivering external advisory services within a matrixed organisation.
- Right to Work (Mandatory): All applicants must possess the permanent right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Cloud Agnostic Expertise: Experience managing cloud migrations or infrastructure transformations using any major platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Hybrid).
- Programme Leadership: Proven ability to manage complex workstreams, including business case development, dependency mapping, and SOW management.
- Strategic Understanding: Familiarity with DevOps, FinOps, or platform engineering and how these disciplines influence programme decisions.
- Stakeholder Influence: The confidence to manage and influence C-suite executives and senior leadership teams.
Why Join This Practice? This organisation offers a mature and collaborative environment where proactivity is the primary driver of career progression. Unlike traditional consulting models, the firm prioritises sustainable performance and provides genuine flexible working patterns to suit individual requirements. The culture is built on individuality and entrepreneurial thinking, allowing you to shape your own career path while working alongside the sharpest minds in the industry. It is an ideal environment for leaders seeking the impact of Tier-1 digital work without the constraints of a rigid corporate hierarchy.
