Duration: 7 8 Months (Potential Extension up to 12 Months)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lift Supervisor to join a major sewage treatment works project in Guildford, Surrey.

Working for a well-established principal contractor, this is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a significant water infrastructure scheme, with the potential for further opportunities across the Surrey and Hampshire regions upon completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning, coordinating and supervising all lifting operations on site.
• Ensuring lifting activities are carried out safely and in accordance with lifting plans and industry regulations.
• Conducting pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks.
• Coordinating with crane operators, slinger/signallers, site management and subcontractors.
• Monitoring lifting operations to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Inspecting lifting equipment and ensuring all certifications are current and compliant.
• Stopping lifting operations where unsafe conditions are identified.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation relating to lifting activities.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Lift Supervisor qualification (essential).
• Previous experience as a Lift Supervisor on civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or utilities projects.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations, lift plans and site safety procedures.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and site activities effectively.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Full PPE and ability to start in mid-June.

Desirable

• Experience working on water or utilities projects.
• CPCS Slinger/Signaller qualification.
• Appointed Person qualification.
• First Aid certification.
