BCP Consulting is a specialist advisory firm focused on R&D tax incentives. We work with innovative companies across engineering, software, and advanced technology sectors to identify qualifying R&D activities and prepare technically robust claims in accordance with the latest HMRC guidance and legislation.
We are seeking exceptional candidates to join the company as a R&D Tax Consultant.
The role provides an opportunity to develop expertise in a highly specialised advisory field and grow as part of an elite company expanding on a rapid growth trajectory.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
- Holding technical discussions with client engineers, scientists, and developers to identify qualifying R&D activities.
- Analysing complex engineering and technology projects against the UK definition of R&D, and preparing clear, high-quality technical reports.
- Collaborating with tax and finance professionals to support the preparation of comprehensive R&D claims.
- Supporting client relationships and contributing to business development opportunities.
As the company grows, the role will evolve to include greater responsibility for client engagement, leading project delivery, and contributing to the development and direction of the company.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking exceptional candidates with strong technical foundations. You will likely have:
- A first-class or 2:1 degree from a leading university in a STEM discipline
- 0-1 year of professional experience, in either R&D tax or engineering, scientific or software roles.
In addition to strong academic and technical credentials, successful candidates typically demonstrate:
- The ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to articulate technical concepts in written narratives
- A high level of personal drive, initiative, and curiosity
