Senior Python Engineer | FinTech | UK Based- Fully remote | Outside IR35

We're partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing fintech organisation that is transforming the way small businesses manage their finances

.As a Senior Python Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and scaling backend services within a modern microservices architecture. You'll collaborate with product, data, web, and mobile teams to deliver robust solutions while mentoring fellow engineers and driving engineering excellence

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, building, owning and scaling cloud-native backend services
• Working across the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment
• Collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders to shape technical solutions
• Building and integrating RESTful APIs
• Contributing to architecture decisions and technical best practices
• Mentoring engineers and supporting team growth
• Ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable

What We're Looking for:

• Strong commercial experience with Python as your primary language
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles (SOLID, testing, clean code)
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Hands-on experience with Django, FastAPI and/or Flask
• Strong REST API development and integration experience
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Event-driven architecture and microservices experience
• Message queues and asynchronous systems
• Salesforce integration experience
