We are seeking to hire an experienced Contract Platform Engineer into our Platform Engineering Practice. This is a 6 month assignment (inside IR35), to start ASAP
About the role:
• You will be hands on in projects to provide technical guidance and validation to the team.
• You will be responsible for stakeholder management, building client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• You will need to have a thirst to grow and mentor, people come first and it's important to foster the growth of the team.
• Part of your responsibilities will be to support and engage in presales activities, this will include understanding requirements from customers, building out proposals and SOWs.
• Provide recommendations and thought into existing business processes to ensure optimum efficiency.
Technical Insight:
• Experience working with DevOps tooling
• Infrastructure as Code – CloudFormation and focus on IAM
• Continuous Integration practices and Continuous Deployment/Delivery
• Containers – Docker, Kubernetes etc.
• Configuration Management – Ansible, Chef, Puppet etc.
• Cloud – AWS Services essential; multi clould experience ie with Azure, GCP etc. highly desirable
• Monitoring – ELK, Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, etc.
• Strong development experience in Python and Boto3
• Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform knowledge
• Experience of working in a regulated industry
About you (ideally):
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of DevOps and Platform Engineering practices such as CI, CD, Infra as Code, Cloud, Monitoring, Ai
• A passion for open-source programming with Python
• A strong background in ability to lead initiatives
• Being part of implementing end to end delivery lifecycles
• Hungry to learn, out of the box thinkers
• A client focused 'can-do' attitude and high attention to detail
• Feeling comfortable to work within a consulting environment
