About the Company:
Our client is a well-established building structures consultancy with a strong presence across the UK. They have built an excellent reputation for delivering innovative and practical structural engineering solutions across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their London office.
The Role:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion. You will be responsible for managing project workloads, producing structural designs, liaising with clients, and mentoring junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design and delivery of a variety of projects.
- Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Design structures using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Attend client, design team, and site meetings.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other consultants.
- Support and mentor graduate and junior engineers.
- Assist with project planning, resource management, and delivery programmes.
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical standards.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience working within a UK structural engineering consultancy.
- Strong understanding of British Standards and Eurocodes.
- Experience designing structures in a range of materials.
- Proficient with industry-standard design software.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Chartered or working towards Chartership (IStructE or ICE).
