Job Description
A leading international investment firm is seeking a Head of Human Resources to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a high-performing, globally aligned people strategy. This is a senior, business-critical hire as the firm continues to evolve into a multi-strategy platform across multiple geographies.
Reporting to the COO, the Head of HR will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the partnership group, delivering both strategic direction and hands-on execution across all areas of the HR function.
You must hold proven experience working in small and/or stand-alone environments with true breadth across the employee lifecycle. Progressive tenure in Private Equity, Asset/Investment Management or Hedge Fund.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Operations
- Oversee the end-to-end employee experience, ensuring a seamless, high-quality HR service across all locations
- Lead day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll oversight, and employee relations
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage immigration, visas, and international mobility processes
Culture & Engagement
- Foster a consistent, inclusive organisational culture across global offices
- Drive employee engagement initiatives aligned with business values and growth ambitions
Performance & Talent Management
- Lead the annual performance review and compensation processes in line with the business cycle
- Support senior stakeholders with promotion, development, and succession decisions
- Design and deliver learning and development programmes to build organisational capability
- Proactively manage performance and support leadership in addressing underperformance

- Benchmark compensation against market standards to ensure competitiveness
- Oversee the design and optimisation of benefits programmes aligned with employee needs and business goals
HR Technology & Transformation
- Define and execute the firm’s HR technology strategy
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of HRIS platforms
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging data and automation to improve decision-making and efficiency
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a well-rounded HR leader with demonstrable experience operating at both strategic and operational levels within a fast-paced, international environment.
Key attributes include:
- Broad HR generalist expertise across the full employee lifecycle
- Experience in global or multi-jurisdictional organisations, with an understanding of balancing standardisation and local nuance
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, alongside experience managing regional advisors
- Proven track record of HR transformation, including HRIS implementation
- Commercial, pragmatic mindset with the ability to translate strategy into action
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with credibility at senior leadership level
- High levels of integrity, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset
