We’re partnering with a globally recognised investment firm to hire a Policy & Research Specialist within their Investment Stewardship function. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys combining deep research with real-world impact — shaping how large-scale investors approach governance, voting, and engagement across EMEA markets.
You’ll sit at the intersection of data, policy, and strategy, helping to interpret evolving governance standards and translating them into clear, actionable insights that influence decision-making at scale
What You’ll Be Doing
- Shape regional governance thinking
- Lead research into corporate governance trends, regulatory developments, and market practices across EMEA
- Develop insights that inform voting decisions, engagement priorities, and broader stewardship strategy
- Build data-driven perspectives on key governance topics and emerging risks
- Turn insight into influence
- Produce high-quality written analysis, briefing papers, and presentations for senior stakeholders
- Translate complex regulatory and market developments into clear, practical recommendations
- Support decision-making on nuanced and high-profile governance issues
- Review and enhance internal governance and voting frameworks to reflect changing regional expectations
- Contribute to ongoing policy development, ensuring alignment with best practice and regulatory direction
- Support periodic reviews and audits of stewardship policies
- Collaborate across a global platform
- Work closely with colleagues across investment, ESG, and research teams
- Engage with external research providers and data sources to strengthen insight quality
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance stewardship impact
- Support capability building
- Share knowledge and insights with internal stakeholders
- Play a role in strengthening the team’s overall research and policy capability
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in corporate governance, stewardship, policy, or ESG-related research
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and draw clear conclusions
- Confidence producing high-quality written content and presenting insights to senior audiences
- Understanding of EMEA regulatory and governance environments
