Senior Structural Engineer
Birmingham Small Independent Consultancy Residential & Commercial Projects
Our client is a growing structural engineering consultancy based in Birmingham, looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our close-knit team.
The workload is primarily focused on a diverse mix of residential and commercial projects, ranging from domestic alterations and extensions through to multi-unit developments and commercial refurbishments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, working closely with clients, and being part of a supportive local consultancy where your input genuinely matters.
The Senior Structural Engineer role;
- Lead structural engineering projects from concept through to completion
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Liaise directly with architects, developers, contractors, and clients
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians where required
- Attend site visits and project meetings across the region
Requirements for this Senior Structural Engineer position;
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Several years' experience in a consultancy environment
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and design standards
- Experience working on residential and commercial structures
- Proficient with structural analysis and design software
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership preferred
