Quality Manager
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional to lead and develop the quality function, ensuring products and processes meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving quality performance, managing compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the site quality function across manufacturing operations
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance and process efficiency
- Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor quality KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management
- Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality
- Manage and develop the quality team, providing coaching and support where required
- Support supplier quality activities and supplier performance improvement
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Quality Manager role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO standards
- Experience leading audits and managing compliance activities
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Ability to analyse quality data and implement effective corrective actions
- HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred
