Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves designing, developing, and commissioning control systems, with a strong focus on PLC programming and integration with third-party equipment. Flexible and remote working options are available, offering a balanced approach between on-site collaboration and home working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial automation projects
- Program PLCs, with a preference for Siemens, Allen Bradley, and other leading platforms
- Interface with third-party devices using Fieldbus communication protocols
- Develop and configure HMI/SCADA systems where required
- Support system testing, commissioning, and on-site installation
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Produce and maintain technical documentation
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Control Systems Engineer in an industrial environment
- Strong PLC programming skills (Siemens, Allen Bradley preferred)
- Experience with Fieldbus communications and integration of third-party devices
- Solid understanding of control system design and industrial automation principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to travel for site work when required
