Production Manager
Location: Hertfordshire

A growing manufacturer is looking for a strong operational leader to take ownership of their production function and help shape how it runs going forward.
What You'll Be Doing as a Production Manager
Owning end-to-end production flow including SMT, AOI, assembly, test, and packing
Managing production schedules and ensuring clear workflow across all manufacturing areas
Driving on-time delivery, throughput, and efficiency across the shopfloor
Leading production teams through team leaders to ensure consistent execution and communication
Monitoring WIP levels and ensuring visibility across all stages of production
Identifying risks early and putting recovery plans in place where required
Working closely with Planning and CI teams to manage and adjust production schedules
Collaborating with Quality and Engineering to resolve production and process issues
Driving continuous improvement activities to improve flow, output, and efficiency
Using production data and KPIs to drive decision-making and performance improvements
What We're Looking For as a Production Manager
Experience in a Production Manager or Supervisor/Senior Manufacturing leadership role
Background in electronics, electro-mechanical, or high-mix manufacturing environments
Strong operational mindset with the ability to improve structure and performance in developing environments
Proven ability to lead teams through supervisors or team leaders
Comfortable balancing people leadership with production delivery requirements
Strong understanding of production flow, scheduling, and capacity management
Data-driven approach using KPIs to improve performance and decision-making
Confident communicator with the ability to drive accountability across teams
Hands-on, practical leadership style.
