Job Description

MK Search have partnered with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of 400m and a strong presence delivering flagship projects across the commercial, pharma, data centre and rail sectors in partnership with leading main contractors who are looking for a mechanical construction manager to join their team on a notable pharma project they are delivering in Oxford with an M&E value of 27m. As mechanical construction manager you will report to a mechanical project manager initially leading enabling works before transitioning into the main install phase in Q4 of this year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the mechanical installation from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover
  • Manage site teams including supervisors, subcontractors, and specialist packages
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, planners, and other disciplines (electrical & public health)
  • Drive programme, manage risk, and resolve on-site technical challenges
  • Lead progress meetings and report into senior project leadership
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company procedures

The project will run for circa 3 years and the company have a busy presence across the region with plan works for many years to come. They are initially looking to engage with someone on a contract basis but can discuss the opportunity to transition to a perm role after 6 months if agreeable to both parties.
