Job Overview

The People Administrator supports the day-to-day running of the People function and plays a key role in delivering a smooth, consistent employee experience. The role covers a broad range of HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including People administration, recruitment support, onboarding, employee relations support, and People data management.

This is a hands-on role well-suited to someone who enjoys variety, works accurately with detail, and is keen to build strong generalist HR experience within a growing organisation.

Responsibilities

People Administration & Operations

  • Manage People administration across the full employee lifecycle
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts, offer letters, and contract variations
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and personnel files
  • Support payroll processes by providing accurate people data and updates
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Manage probation tracking and related documentation
  • Respond to day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers

Employee Relations Support

  • Provide administrative and practical support on ER matters, including note-taking and documentation
  • Maintain confidential ER case records and correspondence
  • Support absence management processes and associated record-keeping
  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the wider People team

Policies, Compliance & Data

  • Support the maintenance and administration of People policies and procedures
  • Ensure People processes align with UK employment legislation and GDPR requirements
  • Manage People data accuracy, reporting, and audit readiness
  • Support People reporting and metrics as required

Learning, Development & Engagement Support

  • Support learning and development activities, including training coordination and record-keeping
  • Maintain training logs and development records
  • Assist with employee engagement activities and surveys
  • Support internal People initiatives and projects
